The Watershed assessment services that we offer include several steps. These are outlined below. All assessments that we complete result in the compilation and publication of a restoration plan.
- Determine pollution sources
- Conduct water analysis of the pollutant source and surrounding stream
- Conduct biological surveys and determine effects of pollution
- Determine pollutant loadings entering the watershed
- Make assessments as to the overall impact of pollution on the stream
Watershed assessments begin with walking all stream segments and identifying the pollutant sources.
This is a discharge in the Shamokin Creek watershed that has been identified as a major pollutant source.
